This past weekend, California communities joined #EndDependence Days of Action across the state and urged Governor Newsom to: 🛑 Stop issuing new fossil fuel permits 🚫 End oil drilling in neighborhoods 🛠 Fix leaking oil wells The demonstration at Long Beach (shown here) included a colorful display of signs, several speakers, art displays, and a simulation of what it would be like for a turtle to get caught in an oil spill. With wildlife, people and the climate at risk, there’s no time to waste.
