👏 Congrats to our first batch of Water Filter Ambassadors in Malawi! 🇲🇼 In an effort to improve the impact and sustainability of our water filter distribution project for very remote households, last week we trained 4 volunteers from communities that are too far to access one of our deep-water wells. These 4 individuals (Esita, Austin, Lonex, and Raphael) will be the local experts on water filter usage in their areas, helping to train community members to use and clean the water filters, troubleshoot common issues, and promote the health benefits of the intervention. In this way, routine follow-ups can be almost immediate, and local capacity and knowledge is built within the villages themselves, thus ensuring the water filters continue to have the greatest impact on the health and livelihoods of the residents.
