William Saliba and Benjamin White both rested in tonight’s win against FC Zürich, suggesting that the two may start at centre-back for the first time against Everton with Takehiro Tomiyasu starting again at right back. There’s so much to appreciate about Gabriel Magalhães both as a footballer and a person, but tonight he continued a growing pattern of erratic decision making, even if it didn’t prove as costly as it has in the past. We want to remind everyone that it is important to be wholeheartedly supportive of Arsenal players while also holding them to a high standard. We’re lucky to have Gabriel and he will play plenty of football this season.
