I’ve been spending a lot of time on my splitboard this season, the terrain you can access around here is insane. I had my first overnight trip this week and was really excited to get into the alpine. The mountains had a different plan and avalanche conditions went through the roof. The rating was only a 3 today. But that doesn’t mean it’s safe. After seeing numerous natural releases this morning. We decided to turn around and head home. It simply wasn’t worth the risk!
