Temple Women’s Basketball took down Delaware 67-56 Tuesday night at Bob Carpenter Center for its first win of the season. The Owls carried an excellent second half from their loss against Richmond into the game against Delaware. They jumped out to a 7-0 lead in the first two minutes and never looked back. The Owls’ offense struggled for much of the game, shooting just 38 percent from the field, but their strong defense and hot start helped keep the Blue Hens at bay. Delaware made multiple comeback attempts but Temple was able to stop them each time. The Owls forced 23 turnovers and turned those into 23 points. Guard Tarriyonna Gary led the way with 17 points and forward Anissa Rivera chipped in 11. Temple stays on the road for its next matchup as they travel to play VCU on Nov. 15 at 7 p.m. 📝: @n8_prendy 📸: @_jshover
