After recently winning CMA’s Musical Event of the Year award alongside Ella Langley, Riley Green appeared at the OU football game and shared a few touching words about the legendary Toby Keith. Green spoke to about 80,000 Oklahoma fans just after Oklahoma defeated Alabama 24-3 and said, “Toby Keith was a huge inspiration for me as a country music singer growing up and all of country music, and we miss him every day.” Toby Keith’s “Courtesy of the Red, White, and Blue” then promptly played, and the crowd sang along. Green later posted on social media, sharing his experience honoring Keith and mentioning his time with leaders of Oklahoma-based charities founded by Toby Keith, such as tkfoundation1 and oklahoma.childrens.
