Josh Turner was invited to the Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas, to sing his song “Two Steppin’ on the Moon” to astronauts in space. He sang to four astronauts, including Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams, who had been stuck in space after their return capsule was found to have a defect and could not safely bring them back to Earth. To get them home, NASA launched SpaceX’s Dragon capsule from Cape Canaveral, Florida, on September 28, carrying nine astronauts. The Dragon successfully docked with Wilmore and Williams’s capsule, and they are all now expected to return to Earth by February 2025. In the meantime, NASA called up Josh Turner to cheer them up with a little country music!
