Temple Men’s Basketball squeaked out a 91-85 win against Wichita State on Friday night to open up American Athletic Conference play. The Shockers raced out to an early lead and put the Owls backs against the wall as the first half drew to a close. Wichita State was able to force its way in the paint and Temple had no response. Both teams were unable to put the game in cruise control as the second half wound down and the Owls took full advantage. Temple’s offense began to click and suddenly went on a 21-7 run to snatch momentum. The Owls took the lead and never looked back as five players hit double digits, and Temple now starts the season 6-0 at The Liacouras Center. “I’m really proud of these guys,” said head coach Adam Fisher. “We’ve talked about it all season, we want to protect home court. Being able to open conference play at home was big for us. Our ability to try to wear teams down, and other guys got to step up, and we saw it tonight” Read more at the link in our bio. 📝: @...
