Although the U.S. Department of Justice requires prisons and jails to report data on in-custody deaths, information about these types of deaths is often difficult to find. This issue has led to the SPLC releasing a new database today tracking in-custody deaths in jails across #Mississippi. Learn about the effort at the 🔗 in our bio. Loved ones of the deceased deserve information on the factors that led to these deaths.
