The SPLC applauds the leadership of RepDonBeyer and RepDonBacon for introducing the Improving Reporting to Prevent Hate Act to condition the federal funding of law enforcement agencies serving large populations on how they report credible hate crime data to the FBI. We cannot effectively confront the U.S.'s national hate crime problem without more accurate and complete data – we look forward to working together to ensure its passage. #RefuseHate #HateCrimesAwareness #HateCrimeReporting
