Some of that futuristic sound was generated from the ingenious mind and precise ears of Dilla on this piece of equipment! This is a testament which shows that, not only was Jay Dee great as a producer but also as a musician who played several instruments! Dilla's custom-made MiniMoog Voyager Synthesizer which was made by the good Dr. Robert Moog himself for the artist, was donated to the Smithsonian's National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, DC via Mrs. Maureen Yancey-Smith and the family. It is currently on display at the National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, DC. If you are ever in the Nation's Capital be sure to visit! Around this time last year we were gearing up for the grand opening ceremony of the National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, DC.. The opening ceremony took place on Sept. 24, 2016. #Major #Milestone #MusicHistory #OfficialMadukes #JayDee #JDilla #Smithsonian #MusicalCrossroa...
