Twice this week God revealed things to me that brought so much clarity to past pain in my life. I wish I could share the full stories, but they’re personal and involve too many people outside myself so I’ll share what I can. The first one was a realization that sometimes we interpret other people’s silence as a reflection of how that person feels about us, when in reality that person is protecting space or holding a boundary that they’ve likely learned the hard way needs to be held. Sometimes we get so caught up with wanting our own needs met that we often forget that comes at the expense of someone else’s time and resources.  The second realization occurred while going through my journal to look for a bible verse I’d written (I’m now realizing my entire journal is me writing letters to God and I don’t think that is how the general population journals…).
