I got a call yesterday from an organization that was represented at my advocatingmoms conference last year. They’re trying to fund a special needs scholarship in Utah that would go beyond what we currently have with the Carson Smith program. The bill is in session and they’ve asked me to testify at the State Capital in front of our states’s law makers about our experiences with Kinsley and how this is a needed change for children like her in Utah. I’ve always told people that I would never snap a finger and make all of these “problems” with Kinsley go away, because then she wouldn’t be Kinsley. She is a light, and a force to be reckoned with. Our state leaders will now know who she is, they’ll know her story, and we can fight together to make change for her and her peers.
