From a five-year dialogue to a nycxdesign Awards finalist! NINE.5, our collaboration with ekayabanaras—the 100-year-old New Delhi-based textile atelier—has been recognized in the Residential Lounge Collection category. This collection emerges from the creative dialogue between Suchi Reddy and PalakShah, drawing inspiration from the elegant curves of a saree on the body. Reddy designed custom silk fabrics featuring the mathematical concept of zero, first introduced by Hindu astronomer and mathematician Brahmagupta in 628. The result is a contemporary tribute to India’s rich cultural heritage and enduring craftsmanship legacy.
