The White House has unveiled a $22.5 billion transformation plan for Dulles International Airport. ✈️ The historic investment would add or renovate more than 5 million square feet, replacing aging gate buildings and the airport’s 19 mobile lounges with modern concourses, trains, tunnels and moving walkways. Closer parking, faster security, expanded customs facilities and upgraded baggage systems aim to improve the journey for the record 27.25 million passengers Dulles served in 2024. Eero Saarinen’s iconic 1962 terminal will remain the airport’s centerpiece.
