Tokyo Drift turned 20 on June 16, 2026. 🏁 Universal released The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift on June 16, 2006, with Lucas Black, Bow Wow, Nathalie Kelley, Brian Tee and Sung Kang leading Justin Lin’s Tokyo-set street-racing story. A 2006-to-2026 cast timeline makes sense because the film stayed relevant to the franchise after its initial run: Lin later directed several Fast sequels, and Kang returned as Han in later chapters including F9. Twenty years on, the comparison tracks the actors behind a film that remained part of the series. #TokyoDrift #FastAndFurious #JustinLin #SungKang #FilmAnniversary
