Detroit showed up for this one. An unforgettable night celebrating Classical Roots with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra at Orchestra Hall. 🎶 detroitsymphony This incredible event highlights the legacy and influence of African American composers and artists in classical music. Hearing Lift Every Voice and Sing in that room was powerful, and the performances that followed were emotional, beautiful, and inspiring. I also had the chance to explore the new Classical Roots exhibition, which dives into the history and cultural impact of the program and will be on display for the next two years. And of course the night ended with an amazing afterglow celebration with great food, great people, and a whole lot of Detroit pride. If you’ve never experienced the DSO before… this is your sign. 🎶 #detroitfoodie #detroitinfluencer #detroit #detroitculture #detroitsymphony
