Today, 5 Cross Country athletes from our county are competing at the IHSAA State Meet! Sophomore Addyson Bautista and freshman Scarlett Doering represent North Vigo. Running for the Braves is sophomore Leah Sagarsee, sophomore Landon Crawn, and senior Aiden Miller. We spoke with all the athletes to ask about the upcoming meet and what it meant. When asked about what she was looking forward to this weekend Addy simply said “I’m excited to compete”. Scarlett seconded that and that she “wants to meet other good runners”. Landon and Aiden are both excited to race at Lavern Gibson this weekend. Aiden said that “it’s fun to line up” against people he’s run with in the past. Leah can’t wait for the atmosphere of the course and Landon is excited to represent Vigo County on the State stage. Head over to Lavern Gibson today to watch our runners! The girls race at 12pm and the boys race at 1 pm! Awards for both races will follow the boys race.
