The Cheboygan Dam area and north of the Cheboygan Dam is moving to the Level 2 "set" stage of the "ready, set, go" plan, according to the Cheboygan County Sheriff's Office.
The move means the water level is below 6 inches from topping the lowest point of the Cheboygan Dam complex.
It also means there's a high probability of a need to evacuate.
