Program Update: Scheduled performances of Wynton Marsalis’s "Blues Symphony" and "Herald, Holler and Hallelujah!" tonight and tomorrow will not take place due to the orchestra's quarantine policy after a musician tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. The concerts will proceed with this weekend’s guest soloist Gil Shaham performing Samuel Barber’s Violin Concerto conducted by Music Director Jader Bignamini. Shaham has also graciously agreed to perform Bach’s solo Partita No. 3 in E major, BWV 1006. Tonight's webcast on Facebook and dso.org will proceed with the Barber and Bach performances, plus a recording of Friday's performance of Marsalis's "Blues Symphony." ----- TONIGHT: your DSO performs wyntonmarsalis’ beautifully complex Blues Symphony with his DSO co-commissioned work Herald, Holler and Hallelujah!
