🦃 Thanksgiving doesn't have to derail your progress You can absolutely enjoy the holiday without the post-meal food coma or next-day regret. Here's how I approach it: Move your body earlier in the day. A morning workout or even a quick walk primes your muscles to use glucose more efficiently, so your body handles those holiday carbs better. Load up on protein and veggies first. Turkey, green beans, Brussels sprouts, start there. This keeps you satisfied and prevents that frantic grab-everything-in-sight mentality. Pick ONE indulgence you really love. For me, it's pumpkin pie. I'm not wasting my treat on something mediocre. Choose what actually brings you joy. End the day with a walk. Even 15-20 minutes helps stabilize blood sugar, aids digestion, and honestly just feels good after being around the table all day. The holidays aren’t about restriction. They’re about showing up for yourself while still fully enjoying the people and food you love. What's your favorite Thanksgiving ...
