Cosm, a new entertainment venue boasting deluxe seating, a high-tech atmosphere and a “shared reality” screen experience, debuted in downtown Detroit Wednesday night to hype up Motor City sports fans. An invite-only V.I.P. party kicked things off Wednesday with open bars, strolling servers and stations serving steaks, charcuterie, seafood and sushi. The crowd included members of the downtown business, hospitality, sports, and entertainment communities, plus media and a few politicians, including Detroit Mayor Mary Sheffield and former mayor Mike Duggan.
