Detroit and metro Detroit artists such as Tee Grizzley, Skilla Baby, Queen Naija, Nasaan and Illa Jay performed at “A Night with the Orchestra” to honor J Dilla’s legacy at the Detroit Symphony Orchestra Sunday. Grizzley performed his household hit “First Day Out.” Illa Jay, the younger brother of late J Dilla, performed and sang while on the keys. NASAAN, who is the son of late Detroit rapper and former D12 member Proof, also got the crowd hype with theatrical performance involving back up dancers and a large prop phone. Big Sean and Ypsilanti native Queen Naija performed their hit “Hate Our Love” for the first time on stage together since the song’s release. Detroit rapper Skilla Baby performed popular songs such as “Bae” and “CWFU.” The event was hosted by Big Sean presented by the Detroit Pistons. Link in bio.
