The snowfall and wintry conditions beginning Wednesday night sparked dozens of school closures, left road crews working around the clock and made for a messy morning commute. The average monthly snowfall in Detroit, according to weather service data, in February is about 12.5 inches. It's about 13 in Flint in Genesee County and 11.4 in Saginaw in Saginaw County. So how much snow fell over the state on Wednesday? Depends where you are in Michigan. Just days after Lower Michigan was blanketed in anywhere from 2-10 inches of snow, weather experts said another system is on track to bring several more inches Friday night into Saturday morning. The National Weather Service issued Winter Weather Messages Friday, warning that roads could become slippery and, in some parts of the state, visibility may be reduced.
