Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan, who took the city's helm while it was emerging from bankruptcy, will not seek a fourth term in the city's top office. Speaking to a crowd of city staffers, along with family members, at the Coleman A. Young Municipal Center, Duggan, said "it's time." He recalled sitting down in residents' living rooms in 2013, asking them for his vote. He said after seeing that the city's population had a small gain earlier this year, he said he'd down what he set out to do when he was elected in 2013. "The next mayor is coming in in a far better place," he said. "...This city is prepared to weather what comes." More at the link in bio. Photo by Daniel Mears, TDN. #detroitnews #detroit #mikeduggan
