Nothing kicks off Zookeeper Week like celebrating an incredible animal care professional—and Marci Kurtz Hoffman, Animal Wellbeing Manager at Moody Gardens, is exactly that person. Marci’s story with Mr. Awesome, a crocodile monitor, is one of patience, trust, and incredible breakthroughs. What started as a challenging training journey turned into a bond built on positive reinforcement, revealing the intelligence and personality of these amazing lizards. In fact, Marci even honored their journey with a meaningful tattoo! This week, we celebrate all the dedicated zookeepers, trainers, and animal care experts who make a difference every day. 💚 #ZookeeperWeek #AnimalCare #MoodyGardens #WildlifeHeroes #BehindTheScenes
