Happy International Day for Biological Diversity! 🌎🐠 Today we are exploring the incredible biodiversity inside our South Pacific Main Tank with Grace, one of our biologists at Moody Gardens! This exhibit is home to 35 species of fish across 5 different animal families, including blacktip reef sharks, epaulette sharks, chain cat sharks, brown-banded bamboo sharks, wobbegong sharks, and a lace moray eel. Every species plays an important role in keeping ocean ecosystems healthy and balanced.
