Best Spots in Austin for a Picnic☀️🌳 Spring weather is here early AKA the best season in Austin! 🌸 Below are a few of my favorite local spots to have a picnic in Austin (all free entry and all dog friendly): 1. Auditorium Shores (close to downtown with a great skyline view; also next to the hike & bike trail. Limited free street parking or you can pay for parking in the Long Center garage) 2. Zilker Park (lots of space and ample free parking; also has another pretty skyline view) 3. Pease Park (has picnic tables and a fun play area for kids; swipe to see! Limited street parking only.) 4. Mueller Lake Park (loop walking trails next to a 6.5 acre lake & right next to shopping/restaurants; street parking or park in a nearby free garage) 5. Mount Bonnell (easy 5 min “hike” up some stairs to a gorgeous view that’s great for sunsets; free parking at the bottom) 6.
