Ciao, friends! 🇮🇹 Is this a dream or reality? So thrilled and very honored to say that my wine journey has led me to Italy — for a week full of picturesque vineyards, captivating landscapes, and a glimpse into Abruzzo's irresistible charm alongside other creators, writers, and photographers. The Abruzzo region was about a three hour drive from Rome, not exempt from mountainous, windy roads toward the end, which led us to the beautiful rolling vineyards of sanlorenzovini. San Lorenzo is the largest family winery in the province and has the first DOCG in the Abruzzo region. It’s perfectly located between the mountains and the sea, which brings minerality to many of the wines they produce. Minerality = perception of flavors/aromas that resemble minerals or elements typically associated with the earth. We had a brief visit at this part of the winery (hello, views that will forever live in my head) before heading to a cellar tour + multi-course dinner paired with San Lorenzo wines....
