Here’s how I put my valentines alcove display together! I love doing these displays for the holidays bc it’s a unique display that adds a personal touch to your home and makes a great conversation piece for guests and parties. For my valentines display, I used my diy candy trees (separate diy reel) and trees I bought at TJ MAXX. I used risers of different heights to create dimensions and fill in the space. The best way to decorate an alcove is to create dimensions AND try to fill the full space as much as possible. Creating dimensions fills the space and gives you more room to decorate. So I used a tall riser for my tallest tree to take it up even higher and the from tree is on a very low stand. Then I added in the flashing red heart lights (Walmart) and to fill in the top I added in conversation heart lights up top (Walmart) and hid the battery pack in the upper top corner securing it with clear shipping tape and a couple of push pins at the bottom.
