The energy, the laughter, the little bit of chaos… it brought me right back. But Buenas isn’t just about nostalgia. It was created by Divina, a DACA recipient here in Austin, and it’s a fundraiser supporting her and other DACA recipients with renewal costs. Something that started as a family tradition is now helping protect people’s ability to stay in the place they call home. Being in that space, surrounded by community and culture, while knowing it’s all tied to something real… it just hits different.
