The day when it was announced that the majority of Australians voted for what we already knew, that we count. That vote wasn’t just about equal marriage, it helped us understand how Australia see us, and changed how we in Australia’s LGBTI+ communities see ourselves. This November 15th, JOY has been invited to share Y2Yes at molliesbaranddiner and sircuitbar in Fitzroy, which was a community hub for so many during the postal survey and continues to be today.
