How to make a fissure with drlincolnharris
🦷
Fissures.
Build them high, cut them shy?
There is nothing wrong with overbuilding a cavity and then cutting it back. I find it time consuming and resulting in composites that don't look that good. But in order of importance, it is definitely less important than
1. Good clean preps
2. Good moisture control
3. Good bonding technique
4. Good contacts.
However if you do wish to make composite that is the right height and shape, simply follow the inclines of the adjacent cusps.
Two inclines meeting forms a fissure.
