To win in volleyball, you need to be good when the pass/dig is ON the net AND OFF THE NET. Something we’ve been working on lately is when should other people step in and take the second ball in serve receive or defense. Zoey, our setter, can get to pretty much anything and put up a great ball but there’s still times when it’s easier for someone else to step in and put up a hittable ball. On this play, JJ, our libero, recognizes early that this is a ball she should take and puts up a great hittable ball. Meg, our outside here, does a great job backing up a couple steps once she sees the pass is off the net to give her self a little room to be dynamic. She knows we’re going to leave the ball off the net more since the pass is off. The she finishes the play with a good approach and great high contact swing over the block to zone 6 to beat the rotation defense. Just beautiful out of system offense! #volleyball #tampa #utampa #tampavb #tampavolleyball #utvb #ncaavolleyball #diivol...
