This is Abigail, VBSPCA's longest-stay dog. She’s our featured #WednesdayWoof! This four-year-old mixed-breed girl has been at the shelter since April. Shelter staff says she’s sweet, energetic, and adventurous—she’s a total social butterfly and loves meeting new people. Abigail is a simple girl: car rides and playful scratches make her happy. She’s been on a number of outings through VBSPCA’s Beach Buddies program and gets rave reviews for her behavior from participants. Though she loves humans, Abigail is a little pickier when it comes to meeting new dogs. VBSPCA encourages potential adopters with other dogs at home to schedule introductions to make sure everyone gets along well. Abigail would do best in a home with children ages six and older.
