It's National French Fry Day! 'Alachua' you never looked so good. 🍟 Commissioned by the state of Florida and created by John Raymond Henry in 1987, 'Alachua,' as the sculpture is officially known, resides in front of the Marston Science Library. The sculpture sparked a controversy at the time, and found itself the topic of an intense debate in Florida's newspapers. The sculpture has now become a beloved landmark and meeting place for students, and an integral part of campus life.
