What are the complication rates of a deep plane facelift under local anesthesia?
In my recently published study of 142 patients, I examined the safety and complication rates of my surgical technique.
The results:
• 0% facial nerve injuries
• 0% major hematomas
• 0% skin necrosis
• Less than 1% minor hematomas
• Approximately 3% minor fluid collections
• 1.4% treated with additional antibiotics
While no surgery is risk free, these findings support the safety of my approach under local anesthesia.
Patients deserve transparency about surgical risks and their surgeon's individual outcomes.
