Hair prep and recovery tips for your facelift.
One of the most common questions we get before surgery is: "What do I need to do with my hair?"
The morning of surgery, simply arrive with clean hair. Wet or dry is perfectly fine. Just avoid hair products like gels, mousses, sprays, clips, or braids.
After surgery, you can wash your hair 48 hours later. Let the water and shampoo gently run over the incision sites, but avoid scrubbing directly on the incisions. Once you're two weeks out, you'll be able to shampoo normally and get everything feeling fresh again.
As for hair color, we ask patients to wait at least 3 weeks before coloring their hair to allow the incisions to heal properly.
