Marking is where everything begins.
For a deep plane facelift and neck lift, the incision starts in the temporal hair tuft, placed just inside the hairline so hair grows through the incision and helps camouflage it over time.
From there, I follow each patient’s natural anatomy around the ear. In her case, the incision sits just behind the tragus and then continues behind the ear, extending high into the hairline where it stays well hidden.
These markings also map out what’s happening beneath the surface. The deep plane entry point, the course of the facial nerve, and the zygomaticus major attachments are all carefully outlined. Releasing these deeper structures is what allows for a true lift, not just tightening the skin.
This is where precision matters.
