When can you return to intimacy after a facelift?
For most patients, I recommend waiting about two weeks.
In those first two weeks, your body is still healing. Too much activity or getting your heart rate up can increase the risk of swelling or fluid buildup, so it’s important to take it easy.
Even at two weeks, you are not fully healed. Incisions may look good on the surface, but underneath they are still less than 50% healed and not very strong. Be gentle and avoid any pulling or pressure around the face, ears, or neck.
A good rule to follow: if it hurts, stop. Pain is your body telling you to slow down.
So yes, two weeks is a good general guideline, but ease back into things carefully.
