Are you too old for a facelift?
I commonly see patients in their 70s and 80s who ask, “Am I too old? Is this a silly thing to do?”
The answer is no.
I have never rejected a patient solely because of age. If you’re healthy, have realistic expectations, and your reasons are right, age alone is not a limitation.
A facelift addresses concerns like excess neck skin, loss of jawline definition, and deep marionette lines. Those concerns are not limited to one decade of life. A healthy 70 or 80 year old can absolutely be an appropriate candidate.
That said, tissue quality changes with time. The result in a 70 year old will not look like a 50 year old, and it shouldn’t. The goal is not to chase a different decade. It is to look excellent for your age. Natural. Refreshed. Like yourself.
A well done facelift is about alignment between how you look and how you feel, not about a number on your driver’s license.
