Negotiations are all about leverage. Often times we hear coaches’ names get thrown around when there is a job opening, even if the coach isn’t looking to leave where they’re at. Here’s why: 1 — it creates leverage with where you’re at. 2 — it allows you to see the commitment level of the school you’re currently at. But, It can also be very useful for the university.
