🌾 Our community farm in Burkina Faso has been seeing lots of action recently! 💧 We are in the process of testing out a new irrigation model that enables farmers to have consistent and plentiful water for their crops throughout the year, and we are excited to say that the beans, eggplants, maize, and onions our farm members planted just a few weeks ago are coming in strong! 🌱 The new irrigation method has been essential to these new crops while still in their infancy -- getting them large enough to benefit from the start of the rainy season - not that they are dependent on the rain though. This new system will continue to produce crops even in the dry season! 🤝 We are proud of this farming community for putting in the labor to help us optimize this new irrigation model while we are still in this critical testing phase.
