Getting to know future Men's Volleyball Jimmies. Avery Harms is a 2023/24 signee coming to UJ in the fall of 2023. He is an 18 year old local to the state of North Dakota living in Bismarck. Avery has had a unique experience with the sport of volleyball like many other future, present, and past Jimmies. Avery got into the sport because of his father. Unfortunately though, there is very little, to no opportunity for boys to play volleyball at all in the state of North Dakota. With that, Avery is a multi sport athlete taking advantage of other sports offered to boys at his high school such as track and field since volleyball was not an option. Avery chose the University of Jamestown because he liked the sense of community and how much of a family environment his UJ visits felt like. He will be majoring in Biology.
