We are officially introducing Papaya! She was unfortunately brought to WSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital as a stray that was hit by a car. Even while in pain from her broken leg, she is still the sweetest gal and she never fails to wag her tail when a person enters the room. We are very thankful for the students and veterinarians at the Teaching Hospital that helped her when she was brought in!

After doing a lot of deliberation with our Medical Directors on the WCHS Board and with the Veterinarians at WSU and multiple other clinics, we have decided that the best course of action for this sweet girl is to amputate her hind leg. Many dogs, especially rear amputees, go back to their normal activity levels after recovering from the surgery. We have high hopes that Papaya will make a full recovery after her surgery.
If you would like to donate to help cover Papaya's medical costs, please v...
