Be a river, not a rock. 🪨 The rock appears solid, strong, and sturdy. It is firm. It boasts a solid, staunch presence - unwavering; unmoved by external forces that press upon it. And while such stalwart nature can be regarded as strength, it can equally—and paradoxically—be perceived as a weakness. 🌊 The river, however, flows. It, too, is strong, but in a different way. Unlike the rock, the river does not resist outside forces, rather, its inherent strength is sourced in the nature of its rapids. It is fluid. The river does what rivers do - it pushes forward regardless of what paddles against it. It is powerful. 〰️ Both possess arguably admirable qualities which can be beneficial when applied to differing and varying circumstances. Situational. Case by case, as they say.
