WHY are you working (or not working) out? Is it because you’re afraid of gaining weight or because you want to lose weight? Or on the other hand, are you NOT working out because it feels miserable to you? It’s definitely something on all of our minds right now during quarantine. Personally, when I tie my workouts to my self-image, I experience all of the above.
But when I shift my focus to how the workout makes me FEEL, as opposed to how the workout makes me “look,” I actually enjoy doing it!! I enjoy the feeling of a pounding heart and sweat running down my forehead. 💦 I enjoy running because it feels like I’m breaking free from my day, inhaling the fresh air and choosing any direction I want to go. 🦋 And I love the feeling of sore muscles the next morning, knowing that my body has been put to work. 💪.
