Coral reefs need our help now more than ever.
A recent study of over 84 reefs across the Atlantic, Pacific and Indian Oceans found that 92% were covered in plastic, including some of the most remote and uninhabited ones.
Plastic pollution is a major threat to reefs as it can suffocate and kill the corals, sponges and other invertebrates. On top of that, it also increases the likelihood of a coral getting a disease by 20 times!
