On July 8, in Lviv, #KidsKonnectUkraine brought 15 students from Western communities to participate in a mobile journalism workshop with the Ukrainian Catholic University Journalism Department. kidskonnectukraine is supported by MoveUkraine. The masterclass was led by Mick Reed. Known internationally for training correspondents from CNN, PBS, NY Times, Kyiv Independent, and more, Mick mentored Ukrainian teens and developed their skills telling authentic stories of youth living through war. We are incredibly grateful for his participation in the project and contribution to Ukrainian youth journalism. All participants “learned by doing” and had an emotionally enriching day.
