Run and Gun. It’d been a few years since we’d seen the All Stars take on a European team, and this time around it was against one of the most beloved PL clubs on this side of the pond. After the opening whistle, all we heard was bang, bang, bang. A casual spray of goals to run up the score 5-0 against the best in MLS. Jesus and Trossard delighted the crowd with a pair of long-range efforts, Jorginho landed a signature penalty, Martinelli slotted a delicious finish, and Havertz sealed the evening with a half volley. Ironic. There was little to do for the All Stars against this onslaught of talent, but we all went home happy regardless. Despite the scoreline against our boys, it’s always a special occasion when one of the best clubs in the world lands on our shores.
